Crawling.... and the joy that follows

The last week or so, Kayden has been experimenting with moving around on his own. He has been a squirmy worm for a few weeks and it is impossible for us to hold him in our laps during church so I knew this phase was going to present a whole slew of new issues, but it is fun to watch him none the less.
At first he pushed himself along on his stomach if he really wanted something. Then he moved on to an army crawl.

And now he is pushing back onto his hands and knees and taking those first tenative "steps" before collapsing onto his stomach to go with the army craw

It seems like every day he gets better and better and it makes me very grateful that I baby-proofed my house when Preston started crawling because Kayden is getting into EVERYTHING! He is getting so fast that I had to put little knee pads on him because the berber carpet in our house acts like a cheese grater on his little knees. So now he is in "Preston" mode with only a shirt and diaper on throughout the day.
Sometimes I cant even get the diaper on him before he takes off. Notice the diaper being left in the dust!

And then sometimes he finds things like boxes full of scrapbooking trash and dumps it all out on the family room floor...

But the best is when you have a friend over with a 5 week old and he goes over and beats him up..

Skyler:"Whoa... someone save me!"
