Our Easter Tradition

Since the egg hunts and Easter baskets are handled by our large family, we decided to create a new tradition for the Williams home similar to what we do with the Nativity at Christmas. I found this great Resurrection scene puzzle on Etsy and I am so happy with it! All last week we played with the puzzle and talked about the story of the resurrection. Kayden insisted on doing the puzzle a dozen times a day so by Friday he really got it.

On Friday night, we go over the story of the crucifixion and that night we remove Christ from the tomb. Saturday morning we make a point of talking about where Christ went.

Sunday morning he wakes up to the puzzle on a bench outside of his door.
Then notices a clue in the form of yarn. We decided to follow the yarn to see where it took us.

At the end of our hunt we found Christ and a little present for Kayden.

After some playing we follow the string back to the puzzle and put it together one more time before mommy packs it up until next year.

It was a hit!
