It's official... We have a scout in the house! Kayden joined the local pack and is a Tiger scout. Part of why he joined was to go camping and to fire BB guns and do archery. So we got ourselves a tent and the weekend before Thanksgiving we headed out to Camp LaNoChe for the annual Tiger Growl!
My most genius idea to keep track of a six year old is to put my headlamp on him.
And it came in handy when Deda and Kayden were inspecting the local insect life.
On the first night, after making s'mores and watching the stars, my dad and I entertained Kayden for HOURS with a laser pointer. He was basically a cat for a few hours.
But it worked and soon he was passed out for his first ever outdoor sleeping experience.
Our new tent was AMAZING! It was HUGE and we could stand up straight in it.
Deda was brave and kind enough to accompany us since Adam is not a camper and stayed home to keep and eye on Liam.
I liked the headlamp too.
